See info on parameter file when creating new job
Reported by simont | January 30th, 2009 @ 03:35 PM | in feature
When you are creating a new job all you can see for the parameter file is the name that someone used when they saved it. It might be nice to have some way to review the basic settings so you are sure you've picked the right one.
Perhaps when a parameter file is selected from the list a brief summary could appear below or along side? I could imagine building a user friendly summar of the job that was about to be launched as the user goes down the New Job form entering data. This could go where the Upload Progress bar currently lives.
- I enter a Name and the form below is update to say "You are about to submit a job called ." I change the priority and "This job will have LOW priority", etc. I select the parameter file and the parameter info appears below and so on.
When the user gets to the end they can read a quick summary of whats about to happen, review the parameters and then click Submit. At this point the progress bar appears and off it goes.
